Our Story
Village Card Vault started in 2018 as a small online store run out of an apartment in Manhattan. Our founder, Alex Chen, was frustrated by the lack of trustworthy places to buy and sell Pokemon cards in the city. Too many sellers were passing off fakes, overcharging, or providing terrible customer service.
Alex set out to build something different: a card shop with transparent pricing, authenticated inventory, and genuine expertise. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a West Village storefront serving collectors from all over the tri-state area.
Today, Village Card Vault is one of the most trusted names in the NYC trading card community. We've sold over 500,000 cards, maintained a 99.8% positive feedback rating, and built a community of over 50,000 collectors.
